Conveyancing

is the legal process you undergo when you buy or sell a property, extend a lease or remortgage. The buying of a house can be a quite tumultuous process whether you are a first-time home buyer or an experienced one. If you understand the entire process and select the right provider, you can have a smooth, hassle-free process.

What is the work of a conveyancer?

A conveyancer does conduction of enquiries, research, transfer of funds, completion of the legal transfer of ownership, recognition of important issues, repayment of existing mortgage and registering the interests of important parties on any property that you want to buy. The three major stages for the conveyancing process are:

Preparation to exchange:

In this stage, your conveyancer will carry out any check that is needed to be done to formalize the exchange of contracts with the seller and the purchase of the home.

Exchange

When you and the seller are ready to move on further, your contracts are signed and exchanged through your conveyancers to bind the deal legally.

Moving in and Completion

After the conveyancer of the seller confirms that they have received the funds, you will decide a day that you will collect the keys and move into the house.

The conveyancer will ensure that legal processes are duly followed during a property sale so there won’t be anything that will go wrong.
